Do you need help with your CDR? We have decided to make available our experience in writing our own CDRs (and our friend's) to YOU.

If you are of engineering background and your skills assessment requires you to submit a competency demonstration report to Engineer's Australia, and you don't know how to start. Perhaps you have started your preparation and may need someone with an experience to review your work and give recommendations on how to further improve it, then this might just be an opportunity for you.

Good news for Electronics Engineers, possibly!

Just when we thought the new Skillselect will bring more uncertainty to our fellow Electronics engineers due to the lack of information available of where you rank in the hierarchy of EOIs, the recent report on migration program has published very helpful information.

From July 2011 to Jun 2012 migration results showed that the top 5 occupations in the skill stream outcome were Accountants, Cooks, Softwares and Applications Programmers, Software Engineer, and Developer Programmer.

This means, there were less than 1,500 Electronics Engineers who applied and got approved under the skilled migration program.  The good news is, the lesser applications submitted for a particular occupation, the more likely your EOI will be selected and be invited to apply under the skilled migration program.

This might not be a very pleasant to news to our friends whose occupation belongs to the top 5, but who knows, your accumulated points will be higher than the rest of the application submitted from India, which if I may assume India might just be the source of a greater percentage of software and programming related occupations.

Included in the report is a distribution migrants for every country of origin.  This might just give you a better picture of what skills these countries might nominate to the skilled occupation list.
