Do you need help with your CDR? We have decided to make available our experience in writing our own CDRs (and our friend's) to YOU.

If you are of engineering background and your skills assessment requires you to submit a competency demonstration report to Engineer's Australia, and you don't know how to start. Perhaps you have started your preparation and may need someone with an experience to review your work and give recommendations on how to further improve it, then this might just be an opportunity for you.

How much you might spend

I'd like to keep track of my expenses especially when it involves great sums of money.  As such I can give you an idea of how much you will spend during the application process, take note, this is an approximate of my expenses for an Independent-Skilled Immigration application and your expenses may be around the same figure but will greatly vary upon the profession you are applying for and the other factors that may affect you during your application.

  • Down payment for application assistance paid to the agency - 30,000 Php (50% of the total fee)
  • IELTS Review - between 3,000 to 4,000 Php (I chose the online classes for 40 hrs to be completed in 30 days) and may depend on what type of IELTS review you choose.
  • IELTS Exam fee - between 8,000-9,000 Php (for IDP IELTS, not sure for other IELTS exam but for general and academic, they are of the same rate)
  • Document Certification fee - this should be around 100 to 200 Php per page of original document you will submit.
  • Courier fee - around 1000 Php from Cebu to Barton Australia through my agency's courier account.
  • Skills Assessment fee - around 23,500 Php for Engineers Australia (fee will also vary if you apply from within Australia by 50 AUD)
  • Full payment for agency assistance - 30,000 Php (I did not continue with my agency's service.  Believe me, we can do it on our own.)
  • Migration Fee assessment - currently it is at 2,750 2960 AUD (As of 11/23/2011).  I pad an equivalent of 127,000 Php as of 11/28/2011.
  • Certification fee - yes you will need to submit another batch of certified documents.
  • Miscellaneous expenses - don't forget to allocate around 5000 Php for this.  You need to eat and spend for gas or fare while doing errands.
  • Medical Examination fee - 2,800 Php
  • Visa Label processing - 500 Php through the VIA Center
  • CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) - 400 (similar to PDOS for OFWs, only for Immigrants)
As of May 2012, my total expenses is 213,331 Php.  (The bullets above won't add with my total, but you get the picture)

If you are worried that you don't have that much right now, keep in mind that I did not have anything when I applied.  I only secured 60,000 Php from my salary loan so I can start my application.  Beyond the 60,000, it's all prayers.  The good Lord provides, we only need to ask Him.
