My IELTS exam results

Finally, after a week's worth of waiting, I finally got my score online.  I have attached a screenshot of my score from the IELTS website, not for brag, but to inspire you that if I can do it, so you can with proper preparation and the will to do it.




I just learned, that since July 1, 2011, a band score of at least 7 in all four tests will give you 10 points, and a band score of at least 8 will give you 20 points.  How cool is that?

    Im happy and lucky to have found your blog about your experiences in getting to Australia.

    Im also considering of taking IELTS soon. If it is alright with you, i would like to ask some questions:

    1. Can you please recommend a reliable IELTS review center? You can email it to me at jepgomez76@gmail.com.

    2. Is it ok with you if request from you a soft copy of that IELTS review material you got from your sister?

    3. What do you suggest that i take, IELTS IDP or IELTS British Council? Ive heard some major differences between the two.

    4. Are you not going to expound more about your experiences and tips in taking IELTS? A lot will really be happy if you will do that.

      Hi Jep,

      1. Atheneum in Cebu is a good review center. I reviewed with them and got good scores.

      2. The review material I got from my sister was a big book that she borrowed from a friend. Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore and can no longer remember the title.

      3. I only took IDP, some of my friends took British Council. Your review center can advise you on which to take depending on their experience and expertise.

      4. Hmmm what specific information about IELTS you want to know about that we have not covered?

    IELTS is not easy. Only students comprehension and analytical skills are important. Constant practice and confidence are needed for the IELTS. Review and train harder since the test fee is not that cheap. It is need to give it all.

    it is difficult to predict about success without knowing more about language performance in the individual sections and English level generally. A lot also depends on how much time student have to study and improve your English and which methods are using to do this.
